My best advice is to start slow. If he is really not comfortable with the idea, do not push it, EVER. Start by talking about what you want to try (communication is key with any sexual encounter) and if you’re both willing, try a few basic things, look into different types of bondage play and methods of binding. Try to make it stress-free and fun for you both. Those are really the best bits of advice I can give anyone who is wanting to try bondage with their partner. 

As a side note: Stay the hell away from metal handcuffs !!! They can cause serious bruising (even if they are furry or padded, my personal experience can back this up) and in severe cases can cause serious or permanent damage to the capillaries and nerves in your hands/wrists.
