I really do have to take this with a big grain of salt. Before Rome became an empire, some of its individual city states may have done this, but since rape has long been a major tactic of war, conquest, and colonialism I doubt they would have punished people in this way for raping those who were not citizens of Rome when the empire expanded. Also Romans kept slaves, so since your slave was not technically a citizen of Rome I don’t think anyone would have been punished for raping their slave(s).

Okay. I am going to say right now how fucking dangerous it is for your body to use metal handcuffs. Even if they’re fuzzy, they can still cause SERIOUS damage to the capillaries and nerves in your hands and wrists. Not to mention they leave pretty nasty bruises.
